Eating My Words.
I honestly have no idea who Urbanation was. The first time I heard of them was when a friend told me one story about the band, which was not, in anyway, related to music, and did not in anyway impress me or made me curious about them, or the music they play. Hey, they can be one of the best bands there is in the Philippines, and I would not have a clue.
I love South Border (aka SB), and since SB's main man's brother was a member of K24/7, I knew K24/7 existed. Then some years ago someone (one of my closest friends now) "approached" me online, and told me to check out K24/7, as in to actually listen to them play, and watch them on videos, and befriend the band's drummer on Multiply. So I did, because I'm masunurin like that. Since then I became a fan.
A couple of days ago, news about K24/7's nomination to be one of the nominees (no pun intended) as R&B artist of the year at the Philippine Hip-Hop Awards, (both K24/7 and Urbanation are nominated), showed up on Facebook. I clicked the link, voted, and saw that Urbanation was on lead, so I posted a link, both on Facebook and Twitter, to where people could vote for K24/7. Yes, I'm rooting for K24/7, if you haven't figure that out yet, hehehe. Before going to bed, I went back to the site just to check on the stats, I found out I can vote again, so I voted again and voilà, K24/7 was on lead. :-)
The next day I saw another link to where to vote, you know how Facebook wants you to be always updated with what your Facebook friends are up to, so I reposted it on my Facebook wall, clicked the link, voted and what do you know, Urbanation's back on top! I thought to myself, “This Urbanation must be really good!”, and curiosity got the best of me... I decided to search for them on Facebook, not a good idea... People were being all "hyper" (I can't think of any other term) about the voting thing... Some were being verbally violent about it already... I don't like it when things get violent, and since, as to what I understand all top 5 will get nominated anyway, and K24/7's ranking 2nd, I decided to just stop voting, promoting, and just forget about the whole hip-hop thing until all nominations were finalised.
Yesterday morning, while I was waiting in line and suffering from boredom, I decided to check on Facebook... And yes, I gave in, I clicked on Urbanation's page again, seriously bad move talaga, and there it was again, only worst, parang I felt that some people were (directly) offending other people they (most) probably don't even know... The verbal diarrhea was just... Wow! Okei, truth be told, on K24/7's fan page, some did insinuate that there's probably some thing going on... They had doubts, so they acted doubtful, and said it “out loud”... How normal is that? They did insinuate, but that's just about it. Since we are not all geniuses, some people actually need other people to clarify things and explain how this percentage thing works, in a nice way, without being offensive.
Yes, I'm eating my own words, so people please vote for K24/7!!! You can vote every hour. I want them to get nominated with the most vote possible.
Yes, there are these rare times when I can be THIS childish. And yes, I want this to happen just to annoy the hell out those who are being just as childish, overly competitive (as in ang OA na ha), and acting oh-so smart.
A little competition is (almost) fine, just as long as you don't start trash talking, offending other people you haven't even met, and take things too seriously. I mean, come on, this online voting... It's not even for the TITLE yet.. Buti na lang the voting process for the actual title doesn't include public voting, or online voting for that matter.
P.S.
This whole nomination thing will end in more than 30 days, so yeah, I'll probably get tired of wanting K24/7 have the most vote, and will start acting mature again before this whole thing ends. :-P
P.P.S.
Don't ask why because I don't know why things that have nothing to do with me affect me this much. Just like with the prices of the concert tickets for John Mayer's concert in the Philippines, sobrang affected ako, eh I'm not even in the Philippines! :-))

React muna ako.
I've been (and still am) busy with school these past few weeks kaya I didn't get the chance to "react" on this yet.
My friend e-mailed me this and was asking if it's true. And since I'm still a bit busy until Christmas vacation comes in, I'll make this short and quick (and it's not like I have a lot to say).
As far as I know, South Border is still South Border. Tata Balane, Paul Benitez, Ric Junasa, Butch Victoriano and Jay Durias are still together, they are still South Border and they are currently working on their new album. And yes, Duncan Ramos and Vince Alaras still perform with the band.
"There is no truth to the talks that I am leaving South Border. This CD is something personal, something that I have worked long and hard for."-Jay Durias
read more "stuffs".
And now, I'll write here what I told my friend, "Let's not get into these things, let's just enjoy South Border's music for as long as we can". :)
Thankyou. Bow.

When there were five.
I've been back for almost half a month now. And I'm still trying to go back to my old routine, finding my old rhythm. Doing my web-surfing.
Well, I found this:
I really thought it'll be the 7 of them 'till the end na. They were finally making it in the US, they signed a record deal, a new album on the way. I was on vacation and supposedly having fun but when I found out that Duncan Ramos and Vince Alaras decided to leave South Border to pursue solo careers, I was in total shock and sad. Probably too sad, for someone who never really had the chance to meet them in person, that the people I was with felt they had to ask me what was wrong. I probably was staring blankly (and hard) at the screen. Just like most of the news about SB kasi, I found about it through an email. Since I didn't have 24/7 access to the internet I used my palm to read emails, and thinking about it now, I probably looked stupid staring at that small screen on our way back home. It was a night out with friends. So after a while I had my thoughts on other things.
T'was sad, actually it still is. I wanted to cry but I never liked the attention and I didn't want to have to explain what I thought they may think was childish and mababaw. I was trying not to be called exaggerated and maarte.
Somewhat the thought of it still saddens me and still could bring tears to the eyes. I guess it didn't hit me right there and then. And now it does. Slowly. As I change lay-outs, images for links and receive emails regarding changes on the site, details of shows, email that reads "featuring Duncan Ramos" or "with Vince Alaras". And with that, I still can't bring myself to change some of the pictures I have on my sites regarding SB. I can only imagine how people who've had the chance to really know them feel, people who spent time and moments with them, people who worked with them and fans, who all became friends. I can only imagine how them 7 feel. You might think I'm overreacting now and I probably am. But who cares? This is MY blog. :)
"Everything happens for a reason". Whatever the reason is, I just want SB, Vince A. and Duncan R. to know that no matter what, we'll still be here to support you guys all the way. And thank you so much for making beautiful songs, sharing it with the rest of us, songs that kept and will continue to keep me company through all these years and in the years to come and most of all, thank you for all the wonderful people I met thru SB. :)
This is the mellow dramatic-slash-cheesy part of me typing... Yes, I have come to love SB with all of my heart, and I'm sure the "breakup" hurts them more than it hurts me but as they say, the show must go on.

I am bored.
We were supposed to have our literature long (long, long, long..) test.. but it was moved to a later date (we were informed about the changes only 4 hours before the test), Our prof's dad was hospitalized.. so I just decided to stay home.. and not risk to freeze outside. (fyi, para kaming nasa horror flick.. there's thick fog everywhere! bbbrrrr...). Nasayang lang pag-aaral ko kay foscolo at manzoni ng buong umaga. Hmmpp.. ito na lang ang pinag-tripan ko dito sa bahay. hehehe.

Better Late than Never.
Just to let you all know..
I will be back on full blogging service on thursday night. Thank you.
I have never been this tired in my entire life. I swear. Not just physically tired.. but
Last sunday I went to San Pablo City's Town Fiesta Celebration. And just like any other party/meetings that I did not help in any way to organize or pay to get in...
Finally it snowed! Yeah, it snowed thursday morning.. then it rained then snowed again later that night.. only for the sun to melt all the snow the next day.
Moving on, at last thursday's english class.
Prof: Babies have a sucking instinct allowing them to extract the milk.
Luke: Sucking?
Prof: The act of drawing the mouth by creating a practical vacuum.
Luke: Eh?
Claudine: Ma perchè non la dica in Italiano, così è più facile. (Just translate it in Italian... It's easier.)
Prof: Because this is an english class.
Out Of the Blue.
Sandro: Sucking... quello che fa la tua ragazza quando non avete la gomma. (It's what your girlfriend usually do when you don't have a rubber.)
With classmates like them... How can you not enjoy english class. hehehe. ;)

On Friendster & MySpace.
FYI, I still have a week-long of being tortured at school.
Anyway, I've been receiving lots of bitchy messages on Friendster and MySpace.
I'm more of a Friendster person... Once in a blue moon, I'd add people even if I don't know them, most of the time, only to delete them after a few weeks. Almost everyone on my friend's list at Friendster are people I personally know and/or people I actually interact with (thru online messages, SMS, IM, e-mails, phone calls, etc. oh, and yes, even blog comments! haha!) or a friend of a friend. So, you see, I use Friendster for friends! haha! I joined Friendster nung mga panahong wala pa akong smart na SIM, kaya when friends asked me to join.. I did, just so I could stay in touch with them.. without them having to spend hundreds and hundreds of pesosesoses! ;)
Now, MySpace is something else.. when a friend invited me to join MySpace, I joined for.. as they say "networking", or as I put it.. "for the sake of joining". So, OO, sa MySpace, add lang ako ng add, kahit sinong ipakto/a ka pa. hehehe. AND if I don't have the slightest idea on who
Long story short:
People on Friendster send me messages telling me how snob, maarte at feeling kung sino daw ako.. because I won't add them while MySpace people prefer calling me maleducata because I refuse to reply to their "can we be friends?" messages.
Hah! Very Friendly people.

Yeah, yeah.. I know.. Matagal na tapos ang pasko.. BUT still.. ate RACKY, here's my super-duper late thank you!p.s.

Rainbow Colours.

Yes, I am pro-premarital sex.
So? Yeah, big deal. Sue me! I think that's one of the reasons why most people either hate me or simply love me (no, in-betweens. hahaha!). Life's already hard without us complicating things, why find more things to complicate our complicated lives? (hehehe!) I'm being honest here, If a sixteen-year-old kid would ask my opinion about him (or her) wanting to have sex (oh, okei.. fine.. make love), I'd simply tell him the same old things I've been telling everyone else. First, THINK if you really feel and sure that you are ready for it. Second, don't EXPECT TOO MUCH... from yourself and from your partner, or you'll end up disappointed. It's okei to be scared. Third, USE a friggin'
I'm suddenly reminded of when an eight-year-long friend
Anyway, my "I'm really, really, really sorry" (oh, yan ha.. may public apology pa!) goes to those people who tried to call me yesterday afternoon/last night, hindi ko masagot ang tawag kasi may sermonang nagaganap nung mga oras na yon. Which brought me to blog about my being in favour of sex before marriage. A friend of a friend (I would like to emphasize that she is not my friend and that I don't like her. She was mean to me & my other friend. So, yes, I don't like her.) who came and gave me a visit yesterday is pregnant. Even if I don't like that girl... I somewhat felt the urge to say something and (in a way) stood up for her. Syempre, matapang... lugar ko eh.. sila ang dayo.. hahaha! No, seriously, people (especially old people) should always keep in mind that "it takes two to tango". I tell you, I'm sure that this girl did not rape and forced herself into his poor nephew (who, by the way, is 2 years older than the girl). I mean, there are better (and calmer and nicer) ways to tell this two that they did something that is not so okei.
You see this kind of things (and a whole lot of other stuffs) made me think that it is better to INFORM & teach the SAFE way to do it than to scare the hell out of these youngsters. Back when I was in highschool, I saw my schoolmates getting pregnant/getting someone else pregnant, be mums/dads at a young age, be single mums or

Anyway, I read tita bing's entry, Leaving 2006, Welcoming 2007, with Questions, I was so tempted to do the exact same thing and actually, I've already copied-pasted the questions and was starting to mentally answer the questions when I reached a particular question and decided to just forget about the whole thing.. haha!
Holiday's almost over... Just one more to go... L'epifania, then back to school. And back to being tortured. hehehe.
I read the Xmas Stocking, and realized that most people wished for love-related stuffs.. Just to let you all know, I am single by choice. And no, I don't want a boy-friend at the moment.
